    Residential - Rock Climbing

    Well what a great effort with the rock climbing. I managed to avoid doing this one as it looksed.rather difficult when we got in but the children made it look a lot easier. They were speedy and showed awesome strength

    Residential - Archery

    Today we had a chance to complete some Archery or big boy darts as it was called. The children were quite brave with this because you can get hurt with the force of archer. We got a few bullseyes and we were close to the very middle.

    Residential - Team building

    To finish off our residential we were given tasks to complete as a team and played different games. We had lots of good fun and we're tasked with developing our skills and focused to listen to everyone's ideas.

    Residential - Camp fire

    Tonight we had an opportunity to have some marshmallows, brownies and hot chocolate with a camp fire. The children were given opportunity to start a little fire of their own... In a very controlled circumstance. We had some great success and using the flint was brilliant. Well done year 4.

    Residential - Bouldering

    Today we had a chance to complete bouldering. This requires the children to practise using their skills climbing a range of different levels of climbing challenge. The children ran around a lot and tried lots of things. Well done Year 4

    Residential - High Ropes

    We had the opportunity to explore the high ropes. There were 2 challenges and they were at different heights. It took a lot just to get to the top. Some children were absolute naturals and really took to it. Others faced fears. Well done year 4!

    Residential - Abseiling

    Abseiling tested year 4 today. They were challenged with tipping themselves off the edge of top level of the rock climbing wall. Getting the technique right and ensuring that they could fall down safely. It took a lot of courage to do that and I was incredibly proud of the bravery shown. Well done year 4

    PE - Swimming

    Today in swimming we focused our learning on being safe by the pool and following instructions. We played lots of games that required us to listen and move following instructions. Well done year 4

    Science - Sound

    In science today we explored the school listening. Whilst it took a while for the silence needed to explore this fascinating topic. We discussed vibrations and how this is actually the sound that we hear. Well done year 4.

    PE - Swimming

    As our lesson was cancelled due to lightening at the last possible moment. We spent our time learning about rip currents and ways to stay safe by the sea. We learnt what to look for after what to do in a rip current.
